Yoga Rx: Neck and Shoulders
Sunday, September 17 from 4 to 6pm

Chronic discomfort in the upper back, neck and shoulders is an all too common complaint which can be greatly ameliorated using therapeutic Yoga practices. The shoulder girdle is a complex structure; the cervical spine is a vulnerable area, and the two are intimately related. Join Cyndi for this interactive and fun workshop where you will learn a bit about functional shoulder anatomy and your own patterns and imbalances. We'll explore therapeutic Yoga techniques to alleviate joint stiffness, reduce compression and create more freedom of movement and less pain. We will also take a look at how our breathing patterns can influence tension in the upper body and utilize simple remedies to unwind problematic patterns. No experience necessary.

​The Autumn Equinox: Gentle Flow and Restorative Yoga
Saturday, September 23, 9-11am

The Autumn Equinox signifies a nearly equal split of day and night. As we make the shift from longer days to longer nights, it is natural to reflect upon our own lives and which aspects of them might be out of balance. In Ayurveda, the sister science of Yoga,  teachings indicate that with the shift of the season from summer to fall, we can work with the equinox as a reminder to cultivate balance on every level of ourselves: mental, emotional and physical.
Join Cyndi to celebrate the balancing of the chakras with gentle fluid movement and restorative yoga practices to help discover the delicate balance between giving and receiving, between pushing and yielding, between slow and go. We'll some take time to create intention for balance in our lives with meditation.
