Whole Heart Yoga Teacher Training s a comprehensive exploration of the eight limbed Hatha Yoga practices. Over the course of one year and 9 weekend immersion modules, we will study the philosophical underpinnings of traditional Hatha Yoga, investigate anatomy and alignment of asana while exploring the movement and energetic principles of Yoga, and learn to guide yourself & others gently into higher states of awareness through anatomically wise asana, pranayama and meditation techniques.

To embark upon an immersion study like the Whole Heart program is a life changing experience. Not only will you gain knowledge and develop the skills necessary to teach yoga, but more importantly, you will gain insight in to the very core of who you are so that you may unwind what binds you and help you find more peace, purpose and joy in your life.

Our approach is unique in that we work with a limited number of students at a time, and we encourage people of all ages and levels of ability to apply. We believe that Yoga should be accessible to everyone, that first and foremost Yoga is a healing practice, not a workout, although the benefits of a dedicated practice do indeed include improve flexibility, strength and overall well being. We honor the traditional tenets of Yoga, which is a practice designed to conquer the mind and heal the body.

Students who are interested in teaching yoga, or simply taking their Yoga to a new and deeper understanding in their life are encouraged to apply. This program fulfills the Yoga Alliance 200 hour standard for certification.

The program is taught by Cyndi Bulka ERYT-500 and Sunny Davis,, ERYT-200. Together they combine more than 50 years of study and teaching experience to compassionately and wisely guide you on your personal Yoga journey.

The 2017 training begins March 3, 2017

Cyndi Bulka, Health Coach and Yoga Specialist Cyndi offers clients a comprehensive approach to health and well being by combining her extensive background of 20+ years as a yoga teacher, yoga therapist and body worker with more recent studies at Duke University’s Integrative Medical Center as an Integrated Health Coach. She uses her unique blend of skills and heartfelt compassion to meet individuals where they are, providing competent, effective guidance and support for unveiling new skills and change from the “inside-out.” This approach to change is not something learned solely in a classroom. Cyndi's own health challenges motivated her to seek alternatives when the traditional western medical approaches fell short. After struggling to heal her own body from an debilitating auto immune condition and an unhealthy relationship to food, exercise and self image, she discovered that a complimentary approach that combines the best of Western and Eastern modalities was what helped her heal both mind and body. Her success in improving her own health and well being was the catalyst for embarking upon decades of study and a deep commitment to living a balanced, peaceful and joyful life.
